One of the most famous Polish pianists and politicians, Ignacy Jan Paderewski (Jan Frycz) tries to reach Poland in dramatic circumstances. His plans are to be disrupted by ominous doctor Abuse (Crispin Glover) working for Prussian army. In the group of spiritualists saving the Master from the onslaught of medium a pair of lovers (Jakub Gierszał and Patrycja Ziółkowska) is ready to sacrifice everything for the freedom of the homeland and for each other.
